Happy Friday Folks!!
As promised, I wanted to share a couple more favorite things with you all.
Here are some of the gifts my sweet Hubby brought back for me from China. He was in Asia on business for about 10 days (half the time in China and then in Japan for the rest) and his schedule was so full. But he was sweet enough to take some time and get some shopping in for us. I told him of course not to worry about bringing stuff back,as I knew his schedule was jam packed with meetings. Well, he really surprised us with some very cool things (I forgot shops are open there on Sunday unlike here in Germany). The kids have put all their things to use, so no pics of their things right now. But I did snap a quick picture of the goodies I received from China.
I love everything, of course. My favorite is the writing set. Those fabulous pink pearls are right behind though. My husband had apparently actually lost the writing set in all the hectic in the airport when leaving China to Japan. But he had to fly back through on his way back home, and decided to check lost and found to see if anyone had by chance turned it in. Can you believe someone did!!!! We were blown away, totally surprised that someone would go through the effort to turn it in, and that they held it there!
Both Japan and China sound like amazing places. I want to go with him on his next trip, but I have to admit I am too nervous to be that far away from my kids. And I don't want to take them just yet. I have actually never slept a single night away from my 4 year old son, and my 6.5 year old daughter has done sleepovers, and of course when Lucas was born, I was away from home 2 nights. Other than that, I have never been away from them for overnight things. It sounds a little weird and pathetic as I am typing this. Gosh, I need to get a life!! And get away. I need to start small though. Anyway, I diverged.... Back to gifts!
Below is a picture of my kids working with Lucas' favorite birthday gift.
Kapla Blocks. Actually we are all diggin' them. I love the sort of toys and games we can all play together. The blocks are just beautiful, made in France, and they come with some amazing booklets filled with the coolest things you can make with them. Everything from furniture to animals to robots, trains and trucks. Even the Eiffel tower!! We are looking forward to spending alot of time together, playing with these new blocks.
Finally, I want to tell you about the surprise I promised yesterday! I have not done a Free Fabric Friday giveaway in a while. After the big giveaway for my Etsy Store Launch, I took a little break from it. So I wanted to surprise my wonderful readers with a surprise giveaway today. The winner gets the bundle of goodies shown above! I have gone in and collected all the names of people that left comments on my blog since the Etsy store opening giveaway, put all your names in a bowl and drew a name! Every comment made (except for those from me) counted. So if you left 10 comments, your name was entered 10 times!!
I am excited to say that ANA is the lucky winner!! Congrats to you!! You have the best luck with my drawings!! My jaw dropped when I pulled out your name!!! I think this is your 4th time winning a drawing on my blog? Gracious girl! Play the lottery today, okay!! I have emailed you to get your shipping information, so please check for that.
Thanks to all of you for stopping by and reading my little blog. I have to say I am enjoying blogging quite a bit. I don't sit here and write about things as much as I would like to, as I just don't have the time right now. But I do enjoy it and find myself often experiencing things and thinking, oh, I should share that! I am not one to run around with my camera everywhere. So I often don't get to take that shot that tells the story. I am hoping as I get the shop filled with my handmade things soon, and finish up the studio reorg and make more progress on these projects I am working on, I'll get a good rhythm going that allows me to share a bit more.
In the meantime, thank you for stopping by! And I hope you all have a lovely weekend!!
