Happy Friday Folks,
Well today begins our Spring Break and my momma and baby sis are on their way in town as I type. I promised in my last post to get back on the blog this week to host a giveaway in honor of my precious girl that turned 9 last week.
So in Celebration of my girl Leah and the upcoming Spring season, I put together a bundle of 10 fun prints, perfect for Spring sewing...these are all from my personal fabric stash. (I pulled 9 at first, since Leah turned 9, but wanted to make sure to get in some matching dots to go with the florals, so I ended up with 10!).
One winner will be chosen at random to receive 1 FQ of each of the 10 prints shown below (all are 100% cotton). Aren't these some happy prints?

To enter, just leave a comment on this post telling me what you have been up to...what you are most looking forward to about spring...have you started your spring cleaning...spring gardening....what are you working on today....or just say Hello Sheree! Feel free to wish my girl a happy birthday also, as she'd love to read them here.
Please leave your comment by Wednesday, March 31st. I'll close comments then have Leah pick the number of the winner. Good luck to you all!
Now for a bit of an update from me...
Okay, I am off to take some pictures of new fat quarter bundles for the website, which by the way is reopened for business. As I mentioned before, I won't be selling very many fabrics by the yard on the website. There are alot of online shops where you can get the new fabrics, and I don't have the time now to manage a full fledged fabric shop anymore, but I do want to continue to share some textiles...so focusing on more unusual/hard to find fabrics seems to make sense to me. I will continue to sell some of the gorgeous fabrics from Harmony Art by the yard, because I just love them and I know it can be hard to find lovely organic cotton fabrics. And I may from time to time add some yardage as a part of a destash effort. But for the most part, I'll be putting together hard to find and out of print fat quarter bundles for those wanting to add some treasures to their stash. As I get everything lined up, I'll be adding more new features to the site. At first I was going to keep the site closed until everything was ready, but I changed my mind and will add things in stages..that just works better for me right now with all I have going on.
Here is a sneak peek at some of the new bundles I've put together!

Most of these will go up on the website, but some will head over to my Etsy shop, for those of you that like to shop there.
Oh, and my DSQ 8 quilt was received and Kelly loves her new quilt! I am so excited. You all know I am more of a seamstress than a quilter, so I still get a wee nervous when the quilts go out. :)
I think that's it for now. I'll see you all soon. I may or may not post over Spring Break...we'll see how things go. Hubby is also taking the whole week off, which is soooo unheard of, but I am soooo happy about that!
Have a wonderful weekend...and try your best to spend some time making something beautiful!
Hugs,
Sheree

Lovely bundles you have put together! I made a spring table runner for a spring giveaway on my website, and I like it so much that I almost wish I didn't have to give it away...of course I could always make another! We still have snow on the ground here, but we're very much looking forward to getting back into the garden and enjoying some warmer weather!

Ooh, what pretty spring fabrics! The thing I'm most looking forward to this spring is all the budding trees & flowers. It's been a rather dull & gray winter. I've been in a bit of a quilting funk, but have been knitting a lot. Hope to get back in the quilting mood soon.
And Happy Birthday Leah! Hope you have a great one.

Happy Birthday! And such lovely spring fabrics... jolly blog post indeed :-)
I have been up to something very new - I've discovered the ticker tape quilt and am having a good time with it - so messy and twirly and annoying, but it gets really cute and beautiful in the end... I assume! http://www.flickr.com/photos/notyetthedodo/4427636590/

Happy Birthday Leah!
We've got a busy spring ahead - we'll be putting our house on the market in 2-3 weeks and it needs loads of cleaning. Then we go back to building our new home, which is a shell right now. It's going to be a crazy year!

happy birthday Leah, your mom's choice of fabrics are sensational. today I finished a small tulip wall hanging for a spring swap, started quilting my niece's string quilt and now I am making chocolate surprise cupcakes after chatting with my neighbour. As soon as they are out of the oven it time to get my daughter from school. Have a great weekend.

Happy Birthday, Leah! I hope you have a beautiful, happy day and many happy returns!
Today I worked on finishing a baby blanket I am crocheting to donate, and I have been planning a table runner in spring colors to sew. I'm in Massachusetts, so I've been checking the backyard for the crocus flowers. We have light purple and dark yellow so far. I love them.
Thank you for the giveaway chance. Best Wishes, again, to Leah.

Lovely giveaway. Happy birthday Leah! This spring I am really looking forward to wearing skirts again. Chicago doesn't give us many opportunities for it until April at least.
