Hello Lovely Friends,
I am back today to announce the winners of the last giveaway and to show you some new items for sale in my shops. I'd hoped to show more pictures from Italy today..but this would be a ridiculously long post then..so we'll save that for next time!
First, the winners. I used the random number generator:
Random Integer Generator
Here are your random numbers:
36 21 Timestamp: 2010-06-26 11:28:41 UTC
So our winners are commenters 36 and 21:
Congrats Carmel:
i love the selection you have in your shop!
i would get the Heather Ross Japanese Cars Cotton Canvas FQ Bundle and i would make a kimono shirt for my baby and some matching pants to go with it
so so cute!
thanks!
and Julie
Thanks for the generous giveaway. I would have to choose the "Frogs, Bugs & Stripes FQ Bundle". Not for boys, but for my Mom. She LOVES anything frogs and & think this'd be cute for a lap quilt we're making for her.
Ladies, please get in touch and I will generate some gift certificates for you to spend in either of my fabric shops (you can shop in my Etsy shop or on the website...just email me and we'll get it all sorted out!).
I have added lots of prints to the website, including the last of Momo's Wonderland yardage (I have some momo's wonderland fat quarter bundles that I'll get up on ETsy soon). You can see them in the new items section.
I am working on adding these to the Etsy shop today.

And here are some images of items that will be added next week.

They are on their way to me, but I don't want to start selling them until I have them in hand.
I should make a note here about the shop actually. Remember I closed the shop down for a bit to start revamping things. I don't want it to just be a fabric shop that sells all the same items that all the other online fabric shops sell. There is nothing special and creative in that. So, in time, I'll be making changes, adding some new and unique products and trying to shape it into a really special place for you all to come and shop. At first I thought I'd close it down completely, but it just was not feeling special. But I just LOVE fabric and I love finding unqiue and lovely crafting items and I love sharing it with you all. So I changed my mind. Maybe it is a midlife crisis thing, but I don't want to give it up just yet. I really do love doing this and I'll have to figure out how to fit in the pattern development and all the other things I have on my list of things to do. I'll will work itself out in time. The most important thing is that I am spending my time doing the things that bring me joy...and working with fabric and color and sewing and designing really does just that! So on a go, on the same path, just changing directions a bit I guess. I hope you all will enjoy the ride along with me!
With that, I'd like to start up my next giveaway. Those longtime blog readers will remember that the folks at Amy Butler Designs sent me a bunch of patterns to giveaway and yes, I still have a few. Today I am offering up this darling pattern....

Feather Your Nest. This pattern includes patterns and directions to make a quilted coverlet, a pillow sham with ties, a couch pillow and pillow cases. Along with this pattern, I am throwing in a box full of Amy Bulter fabric scraps.

I sew alot with her fabrics and you all know I never throw out scraps. The winner will get a medium sized flat rate priority mail box stuffed with Amy Butler fabric scraps. There are scraps of Gypsy Caravan prints, Temple Flowers prints, Charm prints, Lotus prints, Belle prints and even scraps from her latest collection, Love. You can use these scraps with the Feather Your Nest pattern by doing some applique, or throwing in some patchwork segments in your quiltlet or pillows/pillowcases. Or just use these in other patchwork/sewing projects. You could piece these all together to make a fun, all Amy Butler scrappy quilt or wall hanging.
To enter this giveaway, simply leave a comment on this post telling me what you have been up to lately. What are you working on? What would you do with this box of scraps? What's your favorite Amy Butler fabric line? Or just say Hi, Sheree! You can get an extra entry by blogging, tweeting or facebooking about this giveaway..remember to come back to this post and leave a second comment so you get your extra entry.
Okay folks, off I go to add new items to the website and Etsy! I'll be back soon to share some more images of our little vacation to Italy.
Have a creative day!
Sheree

I love Amy Butler fabric. I have some pillow designs I would use the fabric on. I met you at the Houston Show. You were so nice and took your time to cut all our fat quarters. I ran across the Moda fabric the other day and I seriously need to do something with it. I teach a fiber arts class at a high school and I am constantly looking for small ideas the students can do.

Hi Sheree! Hope you're soon recovered and back to enjoying summer.
Would you believe that I'm in the initial stages of planning out a re-do for my bed linens AND I want to use Amy's fabrics (combining Daisy Chain and Love)? So, did you read my mind or what? LOL
I'm a big Amy fan and I find ways to use up even the smallest pieces. Recently I was needing birthday cards so I raided my teensy sized scrap stash to make scrappy cards.
You always have the most fantastic giveaways, Sheree! I'm crossing my fingers in hopes of winning this one. ;o)

You're so sweet Sheree, What a wonderful giveaway!!!
Actually I'm working on a pair of wallets to give as a present and baby quilt for a lovely work mate. She will be grandma for the first time and doesn't know I'm making a quilt (hope she likes it!).
If I won I would like to make a quilt for me this time ;p. My favourite past c0llection by Amy Butler is Belle but the incoming "Soul Blossoms" is awesome love all those colours. Designs remember me to Kaffe Fassett but more freshly.
hugs

Italy must have been lovely! I get such a 'feel' thinking about Italy, I can't describe it. Can't wait to see pictures!
I've been in baby gear mode lately. Made a few nursing covers and burp cloths for new babies and I have my own grandson due in Sept., so need to finish up the quilt I started for him before he was even conceived! HOw's that for wishful thinking!?

Scraps are truly fun _ the Amy Butler and others look lovely, Isn't amazing how other people's scraps are better than the ones you already have in ones collection. Thanks for another opportunity to win your new giveaway.
Congratulations to your winners- they are lucky ladies.
I recently finished a Trip around the World quilt. I have just begun summer vacation so I hope to get some quilting done over the summer.
Regards,
Anna
