we love bike riding as a family during the summer. just got a trail a bike for our 5 year old and looking to do some longer rides. thanks for the chance sheree, you always do such generous giveaways!

tracy_a

What a lovely book and scrap collection! Thanks for your generosity. Summer - ah. I love to take the kids on a bike ride to the bakery or the ice cream shop (depending on the time of day - no ice cream before noon, but sugar cookies are a-ok for the AM!). We also love to go hang out at a local park with a lake and sand beach.

Amy

My answer is the same as yours! I also love to garden. It's been hot here lately and dry so I haven't been enjoying it as much as usual but it is still a top summer activity for me! Thank you for the giveaway. Your new quilts and pillows are lovely!

Bryanna

During the summer I love watching Wimbledom, drinking gallons of sweet iced tea and curling up and reading every time one of Houston's summer storms hits!

Lynn

I love doing whatever the family is doing. Summer is a time when we have a bit more time together.

Chypar Plompoll

Hello Sheree!
I always enjoy reading your posts. Someday we will be able to just speak to our computer and it will update our blog for us, won't that be sweet. LOL!
It is odd for you to be suffering from a D deficiency out there in sunny Texas. I too, have that problem but I am way up in the north. I also developed anemia last year which really threw me for a loop because I have always had great iron levels.
Since summer is so short here I just love to sit outside and listen to the birds chirp and the wind rustling though the leaves on the tress. I take the kids to the lake almost every week and let the sand squish between my toes.
I would LOVE to freshen up my fabric collection with this giveaway. I love the colors and prints. Thank you again for your generosity.

Tong

Love the quilts and pillows, great colours! I love going to the local farmers' market with my boyfriend during the summer time. We usually get a late lunch at the market with fresh lemonade and eat them on the picnic table (usually shared with other people), and then buying some fresh produce to take home. Thanks for the giveaway!

Marguerite

I am hoping my comment will be going through ok this time!

Am loving the bright colours of the Liberty Arts Fabrics! great together and the quilt is nice but just look at those cushions! Really really lovely!

Good luck with the DQS9. I am at it as well so who knows, you could have me! lol!

Oh.. nearly forgot.. favourite thing... bobbing about in a boat on the waterside in the sunshine reading a page turner! (apart from finally getting some time to sew!!)

Have a great summer!

alessandralace

You should have been in the pool having fun with the kids, but I guess the weeding has to be done some time. It's winter here, so my favourite thing to do is make lots of quilts, stay warm and start plannig my spring vege garden.

delia

Eat ice cream! Sewing is great too, but it doesn't cool you down like ice cream does!

Carol in E TN

anne

Bec Clarke

Summer means water and swimming, I love the water around my body

ginny

It's winter here! So my favourite thing to do is snuggle up under a quilt and do some knitting!

Adrienne

Let's see, we live near the ocean so this time of year we spend a lot of time at the beach, in fact, we have been there 4 days in a row!

Ravaenhill

My favorite thing to do this time of year is go to the beach, watch the children's antics and play with them in the water.

The fabrics are so wonderful and I love the things you have made!!!

Mary P

My favorite thing to do is definitely to go for a walk and enjoy the warm evenings.

Mimi

About Me

  • Hello! Welcome and Thank You for stopping by my blog! Here, I share a bit about how I Live, what makes me Laugh, what I Love and things I Create! I am a chemist by training (I have a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry), but instead of mixing up chemicals in a lab, I spend my days mixing up fabrics to create lovely clothing and accessories! When my daughter was born, my desire to climb the corporate ladder was succumbed by my desire to mother, so I hung up my labcoat and resigned from my job. I miss my days in the lab, but I am thoroughly enjoying my new job as a pattern and clothing designer and maker of lovely things! I am launched a new line of contemporary sewing and quilting patterns and I run an online fabric shop as well as a small online boutique where I sell my handmade goods. Here in this space, I share bits of my days, things I love and of course talk way too much about fabric and design.

My Shops

  • Be sure to stop by my website to see all my handmade goods available for sale in the boutique, as well as a host of fabrics, patterns, yarn and more available in the creativity shop!
