Hi Folks!
I have some fun things to share with you all today. I'd like to finally share some images of my Quilt Festival booth and then I am starting off 10 days of giveaways to celebrate my birthday! Yes, today is the big day. I am officially starting my last year in my 30's! Exciting and crazy to think about...when did I get this old? I want to celebrate with all you lovely blog readers and customers! So be sure to make your way to the end of this post to see the first isntallment of my 10 days of giveaways birthday celebration!
First....My Houston 2010 Quilt Festival Booth and some of the lovely folks I met.
Not so great pics of my booth! Sorry. I nearly forgot to even take these. The whole Market/Festival 2 week adventure is just a lot to juggle. So go easy on me, okay. :)
Me with the ladies from Moda Bake Shop. A sweet bunch of ladies! They were right down the aisle..about 3 booths away from me. :)
Me with Angela of the Moda/Bake Shop. What a gorgeous sweetie pie she is! I was so happy to have been able to meet her in person!
I also got to meet some of the members of the Houston Modern Quilt Guild. I think a total of 6 ladies came by and shopped at different times. I thought I had pictures with everyone, but I am realizing, once again, they were probably with their cameras, not mine. Thanks ladies for stopping by and shopping! It was such a pleasure to meet you all! :)
Me with Safieh and Amy of the Houston Modern Quilt Guild.
I do have more to share in regards to Market and Festival, but they all need a bit more work to bring the whole story through. Mostly are product reviews. I need to actually review these products before I share them with you all! :)
So let me move on to my Birthday! So those that know me well know that I.o.v.e birthdays. I love celebrating birthdays. I love giving birthday gifts. I love cake. I love it all! I have never really done a big celebration of my birthday on the blog. But this year I will!
So, since I am now 39, I will be giving away 39 things over the next 10 days. I know. Isn't this fun!!
I will kick off the celebration today with 2 of the 39 prizes. One lucky person will win an autographed copy of Amy Butler's new book Style Stitches.
I visited Amy at her booth at Quilt Market and picked up a box of her books to sell at Quilt Festival.
Me with the always cute and fabulous Amy Butler.
She kindly signed them all and off course they sold out very quickly at Festival. Luckily I put one aside and decided to hold it to share with one of my blog readers. I love this new book and it is just filled with one amazing, gorgeous bag after the next. I have a signed copy of my own as well and have already tagged half the book as must do projects!
Along with the book, the winner will also get a $20 gift certificate to my online fabric shop so they can buy some fabric to make a bag from the new book.
To enter the giveaway, simply leave a comment on this post telling me what's your favorite thing to do this time of year? Of course for me, in addition to celebrating my birthday, I love to prepare for Christmas! I love going out and picking the tree. I love driving around and seeing all the decorations. And people are just often in such a cheery mood! I always feel lucky to have been born during such a festive time!
This giveaway, and all the giveaways for my birthday celebration will end on Christmas Eve. I'll close the comments that morning and then will announce winners shortly after. This will give everyone plenty of time to get here and enter for a chance to win. Plus, that way, I don't have to worry about shipping anything out until after the Holiday rush (I know, I am so clever, aren't I!).
Okay lovely folks. I wish you all a wonderful day and I look forward to reading all of your comments. :)
Big Hugs,
Sheree

Thanks for the fun giveaway! This time of year I love listening to Christmas music, sledding, making spiced cider or mulled wine, and spending time with family.

My favorite thing to do this time of year is to have a deluxe cup of coffee and some snacky finger food in the late afternoon with my husband , some cool jazz on the stereo ... and just forget all the madness of the commercial holiday going on in our city

I love to just kick back and relax and enjoy and slower pace of the holiday season. Although this hasn't been true so far this year as work has been crazy and I've been trying to sew like a crazy woman to try and finish up gifts!
Happy birthday and thanks so much for celebrating by hosting this awesome series of giveaways!!!!

Happy B-day!!! I love such giveaways related to important events in our lives - sharing such great moments is sooo precious!
I don't like Christmas preparations in general (like cleaning, cooking), but I love some particular preparations - these ones, which I can do with my family together: for example making Christmas tree decorations.

Oh yay! Happy Birhday. This time of year I love baking with my two little girls in the kitchen. They are 4 and 5 and have blast! I have to work quick or they eat all the dough before I get it in the oven :-)

My favorite thing to do during the holiday season, is rush to finish up all those projects that will become Christmas gifts for loved ones. Then on a busy day, stop and have a tea or coffee at a cafe and relax for just a short while. Happy birthday celebrating! and thanks for the opportunity!

Happy Birthday Bash! Hmm, this time of year is hectic for me (as it is for most), but I enjoy making Christmas gifts since that is both recreational and practical. It's fun to curl up with some sewing (or knitting) and watch the squirrels dig up my yard ;)

Well Happy Birthday to you!! This time of year, my favorite thing to do is decorate the tree. It's a tradition for hubby and I. We usually put on music, get a glass of wine and get out the ornaments that we've gathered traveling together. He even proposed by hiding my ring in an ornament box.

Happy Birthday Sheree! Are you really 39? Or 39 again???? lol. Very sweet to share so much with your followers.
I love softly falling snow on Christmas Eve; decorating cookies with the kids and grandkids; lovely music; church services worshipping the King and everything else that goes along with the Holidays!
