What a series of amazing opportunities for you, Sheree! It's a relief to know that you were healthy (and certainly happy, I hope) during your absence!

Chelley Black

I'm glad to hear about all of the exciting things going on in your life! I noticed your resolution in Stitch, but didn't see the pattern. Wow! Congrats! I can't wait to hear about all of the other new things you have coming out. Good luck with the move. We're heading back to TN sometime in the next few months, from Austin. We can't wait to get home. :)

Patty

Congratulations about 10 times or so! I hope your move works out well. There is a ton of snow between Texas and Michigan. I'm going to get a copy of Stitch, it's always fun to see the work when you "know" the person.

sheree

Thanks Chelly! Good luck with your move back to Tennessee.
Thanks Patty! Yes, lots of snow. We may even get some here in Texas. Hubby started his job up in Michigan back in December and there has been snow on the groud the entire time. They had a blizzard today. He said it took him 5 mins to get out of his parking spot this morning, as the car just kept slipping and sliding. I am not looking forward to that!
Hugs,
Sheree

Wow, you have been busy! And I can only assume stressed as well! Congrats on the big accomplishments...fantastic that you are getting known 'out there'. Congrats on the new house as well, and spring is plenty of time to move to a cold state..take it from one who lives in northern Maine.
Will look forward to the continuation of the giveaways...seem they always get set back...

sheree

Thanks Shelley! Yes, it is time to get my name "out there" a bit I guess!
Sorry about the delay in the giveaways...couldn't be helped...but they are good, so hopefully worth the wait! :)

Yahoo! I am so excited for you and the world to get to experience your talent in print and on tv. :) Just don't forget to breathe. Hopefully we can meet in Michigan later this year. xo harmony

Sara

Congrats on all the wonderful things going on in your life!!!

I was all curled up in my bed last night going through my Stitch magazine and loved the beautiful coneflower quilt. Then I saw it was yours- well done! So many exciting things going on! I can't wait to watch you on tv. Are you going to Quilt Market this spring? I would love to see you again!

mo

Oh- by the way- your kids are adorable! I am so jealous of their little fort between their rooms!

Lalas Pequenos

Congrats! That quilt is beautiful- it was well worth it to feature your skills!

Angie

Congratulations! I have the magazine and shamefully haven't had a chance to look at it yet! LOL Sucha pretty quilt and the kids are just so cute! Happy moving and thanks for the discount!

Angie

Paula

I'm glad you're back and well! Congratulations on the show and best of luck with the moving!

sheree

Thanks alot everyone...you all are so sweet to wish me well!
Mo, I will probably not attend Spring Market. I usually only do the Fall Market and with the move and other things I have going on, I doubt I'll be able to make it this year.

About Me

  • Hello! Welcome and Thank You for stopping by my blog! Here, I share a bit about how I Live, what makes me Laugh, what I Love and things I Create! I am a chemist by training (I have a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry), but instead of mixing up chemicals in a lab, I spend my days mixing up fabrics to create lovely clothing and accessories! When my daughter was born, my desire to climb the corporate ladder was succumbed by my desire to mother, so I hung up my labcoat and resigned from my job. I miss my days in the lab, but I am thoroughly enjoying my new job as a pattern and clothing designer and maker of lovely things! I am launched a new line of contemporary sewing and quilting patterns and I run an online fabric shop as well as a small online boutique where I sell my handmade goods. Here in this space, I share bits of my days, things I love and of course talk way too much about fabric and design.

My Shops

  • Be sure to stop by my website to see all my handmade goods available for sale in the boutique, as well as a host of fabrics, patterns, yarn and more available in the creativity shop!
