Holy Moly! I am so excited! Thanks so much! You are too nice!

Lisa NYC

ROTFLMAO! I miss our fabric co-buying. That was too fun!

You crack me up with your imaginary fabric shopping sprees!!! That is too funny...I'll have to try that sometime!

Wishing you a wonderful 4th...oh wait, do they celebrate that in Germany?

With friendship,

I can also imagine you in one of those virtual fabric shopping. LOL. That's so funny.
I believe you are a true FAA!
I think it's a great idea donnating some of your fabric for charity.
I can't wait to see your fall collection...
Have a good trip to France and don't buy too many fabric.

unbelieveable! I have purchased Amy Butler and it is awesome stuff. I have a purse on my blog that I made recently!

Hey Lisa (another FAA),

No 4th of July festivities here. But we celebrated anyway. And also because today is our second anniversary. We were married twice 9 years ago. Once in June in the US for friends/family there and then we packed our bags and flew to Germany for our wedding here with family and friends here. So we spend a fun day together and just got back from a nice dinner. And you knew if you ever need anything from over here--just give a holla!

Ana--yes, a true FAA. I am working on mending my ways. Keep an eye for charities for me. I'll have to do some searching. There must be some places out there in need of crafty stuff?

Eydie--great bag. I can't wait to see what everyone makes with the new Nigella line.

I dont dare to promise not to buy more fabric until whatever... I have issues with fabric too:-)
Ok I have an idea. If you put bigger boxes together and give an estimation for shipping, than the other FAA-s out, could buy a box, not fabrics:-)))))))
I cannot wait to see your new creation!
Have a good trip!

That's a good suggestion, Kriszta. I't would help me get the things out of here quickly. Maybe even surprise boxes. I'll check to see if I can offer this in the FAA group. That would be a good place for that I think?

Mama Urchin

I just bought some of the new Joel Dewberry (chestunut hill) and it is really good. I got it in the earth colorway but I love the stream colorway too.

I am a good home! A REALLY good home. And-really, I am a good charity case too!

Since my luck is BAD with winning~if you are willing, I will pick up the cost of shipping. As long as you include a postcard or something. I have never received anything from Germany. ;-)

Email me!

Mama Urchin, I'd love to see what you made/will make. I am curious about the colors. I have seen them on his website and they look amazing. But then I have seen them on other sites, and they look much lighter/more washed out. I feel like I might have to see them in person before I decide?

Rebecca, I will probably do some sort of "buy a box" thing. I am hoping to figure out how to use the new typepad pages feature and can possibly use a new page as a place to offer up this sort of thing for those interested. I'll email you.

Dawn Alice Rogers

lol! i do the exact same thing online! it's like window shopping on the web. problem is, as with most things fabric related, the temptation is so great to just click "check out".

OH MY GOODNESS! I am so excited to see I won something. WOW! I feel so excited and honored and giddy. :-)

I am right there with you about collecting fabrics and wanting more and wanting the newest stuff! There are SO, SO many choices nowadays. And the quality is great too. Back when I was sewing for my now 20ish year olds many of the fabrics were almost flimsy.
AND OH the colors and designers, OHH-La-La!

About Me

  • Hello! Welcome and Thank You for stopping by my blog! Here, I share a bit about how I Live, what makes me Laugh, what I Love and things I Create! I am a chemist by training (I have a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry), but instead of mixing up chemicals in a lab, I spend my days mixing up fabrics to create lovely clothing and accessories! When my daughter was born, my desire to climb the corporate ladder was succumbed by my desire to mother, so I hung up my labcoat and resigned from my job. I miss my days in the lab, but I am thoroughly enjoying my new job as a pattern and clothing designer and maker of lovely things! I am launched a new line of contemporary sewing and quilting patterns and I run an online fabric shop as well as a small online boutique where I sell my handmade goods. Here in this space, I share bits of my days, things I love and of course talk way too much about fabric and design.
