I have finally gotten my act together and took pictures of some gifts I received from three of my favorite blog/flickr buddies! These are of course part of my favorite things....how could they not be.
Look at this GORGEOUS hat that sweet Lucy handknit and sent to me all the way from the US!
Look at that color (Lucy remembered red was my favorite color) and look at those cables (she is the Queen of Cables) and the yarn is super soft! It fits perfectly also. I have been a fan of Lucy's work since I crossed paths with her on flickr. I love knitting and yarn, but I am not that great at it and am sooo slow. I have told you all that before. I was instantly impressed with Lucy's skills. She is amazing. I think if you browse through her flickr stream, you'll agree! Thanks again Lucy for such a thoughtful gift. I still have some things to send your way to give a proper thank you. :)
Next, look at this bag that I won on Ana's blog giveaway.
I just love, love, love it! The fabric she used is so awesome...super sturdy and just gorgeous colors. It is expertly crafted as well, with inner pockets and a magnetic snap closure. I can't thank you enough for this Ana...and thanks for shipping it all the way from Portugal to me! Ana is another lady I met on flickr. I love looking at her pictures in her photostream.
Finally, look at this magazine Lisa sent me from the US.
Lisa's fabulous blog was featured in the magazine.
I read about the feature on Lisa's blog and after commenting, she generously offered to send me an extra copy that she had. She is so generous and so talented. She does just about everything.... quilting, knitting, sewing, cooking, and her big passion is scrapbooking. She is a Master Scrapper infact. I can't wait to order her book when I move back home. I have so many pictures from our 2 years living here in Germany, and I really want to get them printed out and organized nicely into proper photoalbums.
My apologies to these 3 lovely ladies for taking so long to properly thank them. I am embarrassed at how look it took me. Seriously. I don't mean to be so lame....
Anyway, the final picture below shows some blog giveaways I'll be doing next week. A bunch of my favorite fabrics...a THANK YOU..from me to YOU. I have so much to celebrate...the move back home...the possibility of expanding my business in a fun and very meaningful way...my 10 year wedding anniversary to the most wonderful guy...my 10 year graduation from MIT's Chemistry PhD program, and my blog anniversary. So I have a load of giveaways coming your way to celebrate all these "milestones". So here is a picture of what's coming first up....for my blog anniversay giveaway.
I hope you like these fabrics. I'll post the official giveaway post tomorrow. I need to get some better pictures and closeups and turn those circles into pincushions first!
In the meantime, thanks to you for stopping by and reading my blog, even when I hardly ever post, and I ramble on and on with too many words and not enough pictures! I appreciate you and enjoy your company.
Big Hugs this Sunny Sunday,
Sheree

Wow - a move! How exciting!
I just moved too - from Virginia to San Diego - so I have been MIA from blogworld for awhile. I am still catching up!
Best Wishes!
