Hello Friends, I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying some great Fall weather wherever you live. I have an urge to go apple picking and leaf peeking right now! Where we used to live in Upstate New York was just a beautiful spot in Fall. Over the weekend, hubby and I were remembering some fun Fall times we had just a few years ago. We are not sure where the best spots in the Fall are here, but we have heard it might be worth heading up to Austin one weekend soon. So I hope to start planning a little getaway there in the next couple weekends. Before I start planning play time, I am will be working hard to get all the boxes here unpacked. Here are some early pics of one of my sewing spaces. I have a large room on the 2nd floor that will be for storing fabric and working on large projects (I am trying my hand at quilt design folks!!). Here you can see I have started unpacking...but I have a long way to go.
The space is totally different than what I had in Germany, so I am having to really think hard about the best way to store things and setup the work tables and such. I'll show you pics of my other space later. It is a mess right now, books and stuff everywhere. But I have a nice plan for that space which I think will suit my needs quite well.
I am also working on getting the website cleaned up and ready for a Relaunch on October 31st! You may have noticed here that Ingrid is working on freshening up the look of the blog. She has also freshened up the website with some new graphics. I am so pleased with the look! I hope you like it too. :) I'll be posting some sneak peeks of some of the products that will be available on the website. So bare with me. I have alot to share. First up, here of some of the new handbags that will be available:
I hope to finish up these 2 bags today:
Next, lets have a peek at some of the new fabrics that will be available:
I also hope to get some of my vintage pattern collection up on the site, as well as some Alchemy Packs and other fun items. I'll be sharing more sneak peeks over the next couple days. There is so much more. It will take me a while to get everything on the site. But I'll be working as much as I can to have a large majority up for the relaunch!
I'll be doing some shopping this coming weekend, when I attend the Fall Quilt Market. I am excited to see and touch some of the new fabrics and products coming into the market. I hope I can find some exciting new items to feature on the website as well. With so many online fabric shops and most selling the same things, and so many designers selling their fabrics and patterns directly on their own sites, I'll have to make some tough choices and won't let myself buy everything I love! But I am sure there will be plenty of must haves at the show to keep me going!! I really want my website to be the place to shop for hard to get ahold of items...special things to make your projects really stand out! So I have to keep that in my head and show some restraint! Which is so hard for me when it comes to textiles!lol
In between the work on the website and sewing up new goods to sell on the site, I have taken some time to work on some things for myself. Here is the start of a blue ballerina wrap like the green one I made in August:
And here is a knit bag I am working on. I will be using this gorgeous floral as the lining fabric. It is from Free Spirit/Anna Maria Horner..It's GORGEOUS!
I'll be casting on a new scarf using this gorgeous yellow yarn, as soon as I finish up these other 2 projects!
Okay, I'd better get back to work here!
Be happy and enjoy your day!!
Hugs, Sheree

I see you are getting settled in your new home! I hope it is all going well and that you will be very happy there.
You really made my day so wonderful with your package of fabric delights! :)

Oh,my! I have such a weakness for loads and loads of stacked fabric. What a wonderful stash you have. I love the way you organized by color too.
I'm going to re-organize my fabrics that way too. That's a great idea and I'll bet it's easier to find what you're looking for too.
Great photos!

You've been busy, for sure! I love the knit with that AMH fabric. Perfection! And I'm so jealous of all the space you have for your crafty pursuits. Of course, I'm getting one off to college next year and already plotting how that space can be repurposed. :)
