Hey Friends,
I can always tell when Fall is coming, because I get such a ridiculous urge to knit! I finished up a few projects that were sitting on needles.
Sweet Pink Scarf for Leah
I wore it already, though. I guess it is mine now!lol I'll have to get another ball of yarn and make her another one. :)
Super long Green Scarf for me.
I wore this green scarf to Quilt Market, and received quite some compliments on it. It is super easy to make. Just garter stitch (knit all rows) on larger needles until it is the length you want and add fringe to the ends. I also wore that green ballerina wrap I posted about a couple weeks ago. When I share the Quilt Market pics, you'll get to see that. I also received quite some compliments on that one as well. I am thinking about making a free pattern here. Once I finish the blue one I am working on, I'll make a free pattern available in case anyone else wants to make one.
I also cast on a new yellow scarf.
I showed you the yarn in the last post. It is a Debbie Bliss alpaca silk dk. I just love the shade of yellow! I hope to finish this up soon.
I also finished up the bags that I showed you all in the last post. Here they are all finished up.
These will be added to my website in time for the Relaunch on Friday!
Aside from knitting and sewing, I have been spending some time enjoying the garden. The garden is not really showing any signs of Fall, honestly. Look at all the colorful blooms.
The temps have cooled off though. So Fall is definitely here. Just a different sort of Fall then what I am used to. No colorful leaves, not apples to pick. No leaf peeking and leaf raking. But wonderful none the less.
I'll be back in a day or two to give you a synopsis of my experience at Quilt Market this past weekend. I met some really wonderful ladies, fellow bloggers and creative designers. I also met some of my most favorite fabric designers. I'll be back to share pictures and thoughts. I'll be spending tomorrow at Quilt Festival as well. Festival is open to anyone...it is a retail show. I am excited to see what it is like.
Oh, before I go, I wanted to mention that I will be listed on the Modish Marketplace Quide for Holiday shopping during the months of November and December. Jena, owner of the fabulous Modish blog, put this Marketplace together to support indie designers, which I think is just such a great thing for her to do! They'll be some special coupon codes for buyers. In November, I'll be in the handbag category and in December, I'll be featured in the children's clothing category. So I am busy, busy preparing more goods for the website so that I can have some really nice offerings there. Again, I'll share more about that soon.
I will also be back tomorrow hopefully to share my pictures from Quilt Market. But in the meantime, Jenn and Mary have posted some awesome pics...so stop by and have a peeksy!
I also have to share with you some sweet goodies I received in the mail from my website designer and blog designer, Miss Ingrid of Cherry Tree Graphics. She is soooo good to me! :)
Okey Dokey, we'll catch up tomorrow, 'kay!
Hugs,
Sheree
Hello Sheree,
Your garden is so tropical and luscious. I can identify a some plants that are familiar to plants that grow in Malawi. Obviously, you don't get much harsh weather there, you're lucky!
You've been knitting away! What wonderful projects you made. So perfect for the season.
I hope you had a great time at the quilt market!
Cheers!
