Oh how I would love to spend some time in your craft room. And Happy Birthday to that beauty of yours! As for craftiness this week I was trying to catch up on a variety of things. I made some pillows (http://www.flickr.com/photos/mamaurchin/3341681754/ and http://www.flickr.com/photos/mamaurchin/3341681252)

I just love the new Wonderland collections - not sure how I'd be able to pick only 8 FQ's though !! This week I've been busy making dresses to sell in my Etsy store (www.littledivacrafts.etsy.com) and also making a few things for a craft swap tomorrow. You can see a sneak peak on my blog (www.littledivacraft.blogspot.com) but I can't reveal the full photos until after tomorrow.

Thanks for the opportunity to win this fabulous giveaway.

For fun I'm working on tote bags made from two large hexagons built from strip piecing, in orange and sage, for Spring. Hurry up, Spring!

Your craft room looks heavenly! I must show the pictures to my husband so that he will see that my fabric stash is very tame in comparison. ;-)
So...what I've been working on...I been cutting squares in order to make my daughter's pinwheel quilt, and starting a new embroidery pattern too.
Happy Birthday to your little girl! march is a super mont to be born! My birthday was last week too, and my daughter will be 3 next week. :-D

Wow, beautiful fabrics everywhere on this post, & one very beautiful 8-year-old! A very happy birthday to you Leah, all the way from Australia. I am on a mission to finish some of my many projects. This week, I have finished a journal cover that I embroidered ages ago. If you'd like to see it, here is the link: http://bloomandblossom.blogspot.com/2009/03/journal-cover-variation.html
Thank you for a chance in your generous giveaway. The Wonderland fabric is amazing. It hasn't arrived in Aus yet.

Does printing tutes off the internet count? I plan to do something with them later.

Happy birthday to your sweet daughter and glad your aunt is coping with the treatment

Oh what a wonderful craft room. I am envious of all that fabric.... I am currently working on a quilt made with a moda jelly roll. It is the first time I have used a jelly roll and I enjoyed it. I am fairly new to the quilting world. There are photos on my blog.

Hope you daughter had a wonderful birthday. What a cutie. My baby girl just turned 22 and it went too fast. Enjoy.

Ah yes. I've convinced my husband to make me shelves too. Hopefully, my craft room will start to look like a more organized version of this. This weekend, I'm going to make a superhero cape for a friend's daughter and hopefully finish up a cushion I'm making for a bench my husband made. Maybe I'll do some quilting bee blocks. I'm off to get started!

Sue Cahill

There are so many fantastic lines of fabric available these days, how can one choose just 8 fq's out of that line, they are all wonderful.

I made the block exchange blocks for my next quilt guild meeting and finished a quilt for our quilt show auction.

Now I have two Project Linus quilts I want to get done.

Thanks for the chance to win some fab fabric.

This week... two baby shower quilts, two dozen shamrock cookies, three tutus, and a partridge in a pear tree!! Happy Birthday to your sweet baby girl. Mine turns 3 in a few weeks and I feel like she is growing up way too fast as well. At least she's receptive to wearing all the funny things I make for her! :)

Nicole

Happy Birthday!! They do grow up so quickly!! My baby will be 4 next Sunday!!

As for crafty things....I have so many sewing obligations right now, that I have lost all motivation, so I took a simple fun class to just change things up. You can see the sweet little dress I made here (and soon the 13 more I did when I got home! LOL) http://little-house-in-the-big-city.blogspot.com/2009/03/i-sewed.html

About Me

  • Hello! Welcome and Thank You for stopping by my blog! Here, I share a bit about how I Live, what makes me Laugh, what I Love and things I Create! I am a chemist by training (I have a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry), but instead of mixing up chemicals in a lab, I spend my days mixing up fabrics to create lovely clothing and accessories! When my daughter was born, my desire to climb the corporate ladder was succumbed by my desire to mother, so I hung up my labcoat and resigned from my job. I miss my days in the lab, but I am thoroughly enjoying my new job as a pattern and clothing designer and maker of lovely things! I am launched a new line of contemporary sewing and quilting patterns and I run an online fabric shop as well as a small online boutique where I sell my handmade goods. Here in this space, I share bits of my days, things I love and of course talk way too much about fabric and design.

My Shops

  • Be sure to stop by my website to see all my handmade goods available for sale in the boutique, as well as a host of fabrics, patterns, yarn and more available in the creativity shop!
