Congrats!! I have been a lurking fan since hello collection!! I can't wait for the patterns!! The scraps will be used to make those string quilts or X quilts.

ooh ooh ooh, what a delicious box of scraps, I can see Grandmothers Garden Hexagons growing from that treasure trove.

I love scraps!
I would use them for applique, doll clothes, covered buttons and maybe even a miniature art quilt.

I must also say that I am so jealous of your amazing new studio! How fun is that?! Love it!

I'm using the Film in the Fridge string quilt pattern. So I'd use some fresh scraps to brighten up my overly used scraps for this quilt. congrats on the new patterns.

Congrats on your new space and all your plans! Remember to breathe, OK? :)

I think the first thing I would do with all those scraps is just sit and dump them in my lap and start laughing. Then make a quilt, I think, or a purse. Something fun, anyway.

I'm a subscriber, also!

I would LOVE to have the scrap fabric--great for a doll quilt!

P.S. I am on your mailing list. Thanks!

Hi Sheree!
Lots of exciting news in this post. Congrats on the studio space - looks fantastic! "Wahoo!" on the news of your own patterns coming out soon and your own booth at Quilt Market. I'm so happy for you! I'm sure the next few months will whiz by in a whirlwind of activity for you. Good luck with all your plans and projects.

Wow. Your scraps are calling to me. (Pretty fabric always does that to me... hee hee). Let's see... if I won I would probably sew up a patchwork bag or two and perhaps a tablerunner as well.

I am at heart a scrap quilter. I tend to want to use the scraps in my bin first before I cut into any new piece of fabric, so would love to be in the giveaway. I'd use these scraps for a block lotto that I am in monthly (see the blog I am a member of), I'd make baby quilts (I have 7 grandkids and another on the way next month...all age 5 and under! Oh, that's my first 3 married kids; I still have 3 unmarried to go....can you imagine the grandkids I'm gonna have????) And I do like to craft a wee bit to make little items for friends (like cup cozies, or tea bag holders etc)...so scraps will make my heart go pitter pat!

About Me

  • Hello! Welcome and Thank You for stopping by my blog! Here, I share a bit about how I Live, what makes me Laugh, what I Love and things I Create! I am a chemist by training (I have a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry), but instead of mixing up chemicals in a lab, I spend my days mixing up fabrics to create lovely clothing and accessories! When my daughter was born, my desire to climb the corporate ladder was succumbed by my desire to mother, so I hung up my labcoat and resigned from my job. I miss my days in the lab, but I am thoroughly enjoying my new job as a pattern and clothing designer and maker of lovely things! I am launched a new line of contemporary sewing and quilting patterns and I run an online fabric shop as well as a small online boutique where I sell my handmade goods. Here in this space, I share bits of my days, things I love and of course talk way too much about fabric and design.
