I've been making pincushions but I should be finishing my daughter's quilt- I love scraps and making tiny thing- I am thinking a very small cube bag- each side log cabin miniature style. A lovely giveaway!

Just moved in one week ago, so unpacking boxes. At least today I was unpacking my sewing room! A box from you would be a nice break from the others!

The fabric looks delightful. I just got back from a trip and need to make my sister's birthday present, a bag of some sort!

I love scraps! I currently have four quilts in progress -- all working from my stash. I'm really trying to bust a dent in my hoarded stash. So, ironically, I'm trying to win a scrap giveaway! ha ha ha

Wendy

Hi Sheree, thank you for doing this giveaway. I love doing scrap quilts and recently found out that makes me a schnibbler! Believe it or not I do not own any Amy Butler (shame shame) and would consequently be a very happy woman if your RG picked my number.

Wendy

Hi Sheree, it's me again :) Just to let you know I've blogged your giveaway at http://down-the-avenue.blogspot.com

What I've been up to: studying for a major exam on Thursday and working on piecing a quilt to de-stress. I am soooooo close! I just started working w Amy Butler fabric, and it really is beautiful and great quality!

Wow cannot wait to see your Italy photos, a great place to see. I am about to start handquilting after all it is winter here and a great time to have a quilt on your lap. Enjoy

super fun giveaway! I'm actually having one of my bees work with some of the older Amy butler prints right now for a pink quilt for my niece. I love them for it because they are not too little girly and should grow with her.

We hosted out annual Pig roast this weekend. So today after the last of the out of towners left, I started on sheets and towels and sewed a couple of blocks for one of my bees. Thanks Sheree!

Hi Sheree,
I'm long behind on some flickr swaps and trying to catch up. Life threw me some lemons... (or maybe it was rotten tomatoes?).....

I had to take an up-lanned trip and say my last good-bye to one of my very favorite ladies. She will be greatly missed.
In the wake of that I'm trying make some lemonade with those lemons (can you say rotten tomatoes...maybe I should be making bloody marys?? LOL!) and finish up projects that are long overdue. My heart isn't really in it but sewing is always therapudic. It can help me overcome the worst of things! (Sorry to be a downer but that is really what I'm up too.)

Anyway, I love Amy B. and I think these scraps would be great for Hexagons...which I have just recently taught myself to make :-) Sewing them is very soothing. I also love the colander so I am voting it should travel with the scraps so they can sit in it and be inspirational until they are used!

sewperstitious

I'd like to make a quilt with these fabrics... would love to win!

Brittany

Hi Sheree! I am in the process of making 4 Christmas quilts, a commissioned baby quilt, and an apron for a friend. Thanks for a chance to win!

Jen S.

Hi, Sheree! Yay for another wonderful giveaway! Lately I have been working on a few projects. Finally finished all of my blocks for the 3 x 6 mini quilt sampler bee on flickr & sent them off (those scraps would be great for the next quarter!). I also have made a summer blanket for my daughter made from AMH Little Folks and am currently hand-quilting it. Lovin' it!

DebbieKL

Fun giveaway! I've been trying to wrap up some projects before I do anything new. Kinda boring, but it needs to be done!

Kris

Oh, I'm glad you didn't close your shop, because I just bought some things that I've been wanting for awhile. And I love scraps!

About Me

  • Hello! Welcome and Thank You for stopping by my blog! Here, I share a bit about how I Live, what makes me Laugh, what I Love and things I Create! I am a chemist by training (I have a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry), but instead of mixing up chemicals in a lab, I spend my days mixing up fabrics to create lovely clothing and accessories! When my daughter was born, my desire to climb the corporate ladder was succumbed by my desire to mother, so I hung up my labcoat and resigned from my job. I miss my days in the lab, but I am thoroughly enjoying my new job as a pattern and clothing designer and maker of lovely things! I am launched a new line of contemporary sewing and quilting patterns and I run an online fabric shop as well as a small online boutique where I sell my handmade goods. Here in this space, I share bits of my days, things I love and of course talk way too much about fabric and design.

My Shops

  • Be sure to stop by my website to see all my handmade goods available for sale in the boutique, as well as a host of fabrics, patterns, yarn and more available in the creativity shop!
