I loved Pure by Sweetwater but I haven't made anything with it yet.

Chelley Black

One of my favorites from this year was Riley Blake's Rainy Days & Mondays. I bought some, but haven't used it yet.

Happy birthday to you and thanks again for the great giveaways!

Mary on Lake Pulaski

My favorite collection is Bliss by Camille and Bonnie for Moda! I am just sewing down the last side of a queen sized quilt for my Mom! I love it!

I love sherbet pips - don't have any yet but i should move soon!! thanks for sharing - a great look at recent collections.

I love French General's Maison Garance. But I'm partial to so many fabrics, it's hard to choose just one.

Glad to hear you had some fun over the weekend celebrating your special day, Sheree.

Hmmm... tough to pick a favourite because it seems like there's so many wonderful collections that have been released this year, including the pretties you're giving away.
these on on my wish list...Parisville; Soul Blossoms; Bliss; It's a Hoot...

I really like Bliss - by Bonnie and Camille. Thanks for the giveaway!

I loved Hope Valley. I used "New Day" in grey for my Modern Siggy blocks, but I was an unlucky swapper that time around.... I sent my blocks in, but didn't get any in return!

I've loved so much this year. One fabric that I wish I had gotten more of is Modern Meadow. But usually my favorite is what I'm working with now. So my current fav is Parisville. I made a bag with it here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/beckmoyer/5226689281/
and I'm currently working on a King size quilt.

Mary P

I love Hopscotch by David Walker. It is just super adorable.

That's a difficult question to answer... but I think my favorite was Patty Young Flora and Fauna. Specially the Dandelion and the Humming birds.
I think these make some wonderful combinations.
I've used the in my wallets and pouches and they were a success:

And I looooove the Punctuation line you have up there :)

Marley Cassels

As embarrassing as it is to admit, I'm so new to quilting that I couldn't name you a single collection off the top of my head (I won't cheat by going to look some up in order to look more legitimate). I love the look of the Lily and Will, thought!

Connie Campbell

I love Dream On and Hoot. I bought a layer cake of Dream On but haven't used it yet but found a neat pattern on Moda Bake Shop that I would love to make after Christmas. Thanks for the great giveaway!

My fav fabric was by Anna Maria Horner....this year. :) I made 4 quilts with it, 3 that will be unwrapped on December 26th. :)

i love far far away 2!!! i'm hoarding a lot of it, but sadly i haven't really made anything yet. thanks so much for the giveaway!

Dream On by far due to the similar resemblance to bed sheets!! I just love the colors, love it all:)

Oooh, what fun, Sheree!

My absolute favourite line from 2010 are the new Nani Iro double gauze prints, with which I made a shirred summer dress: http://www.flickr.com/photos/36374379@N04/4680378226/. I also really love Beachcomber by Dotty Logic, who's an independent fabric designer. I made a baby quilt with her designs, here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/36374379@N04/5132096488/

Thanks so much!

really like castle peeps this year...and i think hope valley was 2010, right???

You know, I have no clue - I buy fabric cause I love the way it looks and rarely pay attention to the lines...Does that make me a bad girl???

I love My Happy Nursery. Just so happy with organic fabric and with a new little one on the way, the timing is perfect.

Katie B

Love Hope Valley!

Hope Valley - or the Alexander Henry in the kitchen with roosters and apples....

Wow have liked a few, but one I keep going back to is Modern Meadow by Joel Dewberry. Thanks

Macaroni Love Story by Heather Ross.

Thank for the giveaway! I love the fabrics!

I would have to say the Dr Seuss fabric. I have not made anything with it for myself, but helped my sister make her second quilt ever quilt with it. Love the Hoot line too.

About Me

  • Hello! Welcome and Thank You for stopping by my blog! Here, I share a bit about how I Live, what makes me Laugh, what I Love and things I Create! I am a chemist by training (I have a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry), but instead of mixing up chemicals in a lab, I spend my days mixing up fabrics to create lovely clothing and accessories! When my daughter was born, my desire to climb the corporate ladder was succumbed by my desire to mother, so I hung up my labcoat and resigned from my job. I miss my days in the lab, but I am thoroughly enjoying my new job as a pattern and clothing designer and maker of lovely things! I am launched a new line of contemporary sewing and quilting patterns and I run an online fabric shop as well as a small online boutique where I sell my handmade goods. Here in this space, I share bits of my days, things I love and of course talk way too much about fabric and design.

  • Be sure to stop by my website to see all my handmade goods available for sale in the boutique, as well as a host of fabrics, patterns, yarn and more available in the creativity shop!
