Like you, I am hoping to get a lot of projects done in the fall months. I have so many UFOs that are begging me to finish them up too. But.....it is also a great time for cool weather cooking and entertaining. So much to do!!!

Andreaf

I have a bunch of sewing projects that I'd like to get done: one quilt top that needs to be basted and quilted, some kitchen towels for my mother-in-law, and some other small projects.

Thanks for the giveaway!

Jenny

i plan on organizing so that i may be sewing...after a week of quilt classes with Gwen Marston my sewing room is a disastor! must organize, then sew! congrats on being featured in the magazine!

Katherine

Like you, I hope to tackle finishing some of my quilts this weekend, plus I'm itching to stitch a new one as well.

Congrats on being published! I'll keep my fingers crossed to win a copy of 101 Patchwork Projects. Thanks for your generous giveaway, Sheree. Happy sewing!

Bryanna

I am traveling a lot this fall ht am planning to quilt as much as I can when I am at home!

Gill

I plan on doing a lot of sewing - and in the daylight hours a fair bit of walking too!
Congratulations on having your projects published! I would love to win a copy of the magazine - do you know if it is going to be on sale in the UK??

Billie K

Just sewing. I'm planning on doing as little housework as possible....:)

Chelley Black

That looks like a great magazine! I am trying to get as much sewing done as possible to prepare for the holidays. I had so many Christmas things that didn't get done last year. I'm trying to catch up. OH, and having our kitchen remodeled, too. Fun! Thanks for the giveaway!

Diana

I have a little more time since being layer off my job. I am still trying to get through organizing stuff so I can get to my sewing. It snowed overnight so it feels like Christmas. Time to get sewing up beautiful gifts. I hope I can find your projects/ the magazine here. Congrats!

Zrinka

I never get any sewing done on the weekends. Here in Southern California weather is almost always nice and we try to spend as little time as possible indoors. So weekends are probably going to be spent with family on walks or bike rides.

Thanks for the giveaway!

Dorte

These next weekends will be spent quilting the christmas pressie for my sister - she doesn't know it, but she'll be having a patchworky christmas! And hopefully i'll get to do that patchwork lampshade, I see in my mind's eye....

I'm doing things little by little to prep the house for the 22 guests we are having for Thanksgiving weekend. Trying to make ahead food and freeze for stress free prep time and little favors for everyone.
I like the way polka dot binding looks on that cute scrap quilt. Very nice.

Sara

My UFOs and Christmas gifts are high on the list. This week-end some of my quilting friends are coming by and we are going to concentrate on Christmas gift making.

I have never seen that magazine! It looks AWESOME...

I'd love to enter your giveaway! Thanks for the email letting me know about it. During the next few fall weekends I'd love to get started on a quilt for my neighbor who watches out for our home and property whenever we're away. She has a southwestern theme...I just need to find the right fabric for her style!

Lindy

I have tons of gifts to work on. I have several friends who are having babies and have been working on gifts for them. Also working on making some Christmas gifts, baking, and everything else that comes with the holiday season. This is such a busy but wonderful time of year!!! I'm looking forward to taking some classes as well :o)

Jean B

wow- good to know I'm not the only one with unfinished projects that need working on ! I have 3 quilt tops done that need to be quilted, but now I am working on one in a class at my local quilt shop that promises to be finished in 2 weeks- that will be nice !
Also want to do a table runner, 2 sets of pillowcases & at least 2 or 3 totes for Christmas gifts. Guess I better get busy !!! (PS- always open to new ideas !)

Jill

I want nothing more than to be sewing. I have big plans for Christmas presents.

Jennifer

All of the above! Seriously need to get my butt in gear ...

Briana D.

I'll be working on my new Etsy shop for sure! Sewing, crafting, etc...working on an advent garland now!

I have a two charm packs and some yardage of 'its a hoot' waiting to become a new quilt! I will also be working hard to complete gifts for Christmas for my family - pillows, table runner and whatever else I can manage :-)

About Me

  • Hello! Welcome and Thank You for stopping by my blog! Here, I share a bit about how I Live, what makes me Laugh, what I Love and things I Create! I am a chemist by training (I have a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry), but instead of mixing up chemicals in a lab, I spend my days mixing up fabrics to create lovely clothing and accessories! When my daughter was born, my desire to climb the corporate ladder was succumbed by my desire to mother, so I hung up my labcoat and resigned from my job. I miss my days in the lab, but I am thoroughly enjoying my new job as a pattern and clothing designer and maker of lovely things! I am launched a new line of contemporary sewing and quilting patterns and I run an online fabric shop as well as a small online boutique where I sell my handmade goods. Here in this space, I share bits of my days, things I love and of course talk way too much about fabric and design.

My Shops

  • Be sure to stop by my website to see all my handmade goods available for sale in the boutique, as well as a host of fabrics, patterns, yarn and more available in the creativity shop!
